DSW Chair ABS Charles Eames 1950
In the early 1940, Charles & Ray Eames had the opportunity to develop new methods of molding / bending for the U.S. Navy during the World War II. They applied these techniques to their furniture design.
Thus were born chairs and plastic armchairs by Charles & Ray Eames at the end 1940's.
These DSW chairs were showed to the public for the first time in the "low cost furniture design" contest organized by the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
The shell is made of molded plastic in ABS (Matt finish) with organic and fluid lines. These chairs are durable performers in many environments.
